Covid-19 is a Scam as two patients refuse to Isolate
Two persons who tested positive for the deadly corona virus have allegedly refuse to go into isolation in Bauchi State as they claim that the pandemic is a scam.
Executive Chairman of Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (BASPHCDA), Dr Rilwanu Mohammed, yesterday, said two COVID-19 positive people have declined to be isolated in the state.
Mohammed, who is also the Chairman, Contact Tracing Committee on COVID-19 in the state, said they refused to be isolated because they denied that COVID-19 is real.
He revealed that security agencies in the state have been informed about the situation and they would soon be evacuated to an isolation centre.
Mohammed also revealed that two people taking care of one of the 2 COVID-19 positive people at home came forward for testing and one of them was tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
“They refused to go (to isolation centre) because they are still denying the fact that coronavirus is real. As they stay at home now, already two of the people taking care of one of them came for testing and one of them tested positive for COVID-19,”
First case of corona virus reported in Vatican
A patient in Vatican has tested positive to the dreaded COVID-19 on Friday. First case of corona virus reported in Vatican on thursday.
The clinic inside the tiny city-state – which has some 1,000 residents – will be deep cleaned, while the emergency room will remain open, spokesman Matteo Bruni told AFP.
The clinic is used by priests, residents and employees — including those now retired — as well as their relatives.
Bruni said the Vatican was getting in touch with all those who had passed through the clinic, as per protocol.
The world’s leading health official implored international leaders to unleash the full power of their governments to combat the new coronavirus outbreak.
Global statistics of corona virus
But around the world, as the number of cases neared 100,000, governments have displayed signs of paralysis, obfuscation and a desire to protect their own interests, even as death tolls passed 3,200 and global capitals were so threatened by infection that politicians and health officials tested positive for the illness.
In the United States, a survey of nurses found that only 29 percent had a plan to isolate potentially infected patients. Across the nation, as the number of new cases passed 200, public health labs anxiously awaited diagnostic kits, which will allow for a fuller sense of the scale of the crisis.
But in communities where local transmission is already occurring — like the area near Seattle where 10 residents of one nursing home died — the race to try and halt the virus’s further spread was already upending daily life as schools were closed and public events canceled.
While the vast majority of cases are in China, the virus, which causes pneumonia-like symptoms, is now spreading faster outside the country than within.
More than 80,700 people in China have been infected with coronavirus since its emergence in the city of Wuhan, Hubei province, in December.
But there have also been 18,000 cases outside China, according to World Health Organization (WHO) figures.
South Korea, Italy and Iran have been worst affected, with more than 6,200 cases in South Korea, almost 4,000 in Italy and more than 3,500 in Iran.
A strict ban on the consumption and farming of wild animals is being rolled out across China in the wake of the deadly coronavirus epidemic, which is believed to have started at a wildlife market in Wuhan.
Numbers across Europe have been increasing over the last few days, jumping in Italy, France, Germany, and the UK.
In response, governments have stepped up measures to try to halt the virus’s spread, with Italy closing all schools and universities until 15 March.
A member of the French Parliament was placed in intensive care after testing positive for the virus, Richard Ferrand, the president of the National Assembly, said in a statement on Thursday without identifying the lawmaker.
In Nigeria, just one case of the corona virus has been detected and is been treated. Scientist are trying to understand why the spread of the virus is remarkably slow or nonexistent in Africa.
Some of attributed this fact to the hot weather and climate in Africa.
Wild fire in Australia brought under control
Firefighters in Australia have announced that the they have brought the mega blaze under control. New South Wales firefighters said they finally had the upper hand in the fight to put off the fire on Sydney’s northwestern outskirts, which has been burning for almost three months.
The fire blazed an area of national park three times the size of Greater London and lit several connected blazes totalling over 800,000 hectares.
Visiting the area on Monday, New South Wales Rural Fire Service commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said there was a “small area of burning still to complete” but the “containment prognosis looks promising”.
As residents and authorities continued to come to grips with the sheer scale of the devastation, the Bureau of Meteorology forecast some firegrounds areas could get up to 50 millimetres (two inches) of rain in the next week, a relief after a prolonged drought.
If that forecast bears out, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service said it would be “all of our Christmas, birthday, engagement, anniversary, wedding and graduation presents rolled into one. Fingers crossed.”
The climate-change-fuelled fires have prompted an international outpouring and donations from around the world to help communities and animal populations.
Australia’s unique flora and fauna has taken a catastrophic hit, with an estimated one billion animals killed, and countless trees and shrubs burned away.
The country’s environment minister Sussan Ley has warned that in some areas, koalas may have to be reclassified as endangered.
Why you should calculate your Insurance premiums in 2020
A company charges you money for coverage when you have an insurance policy. The expense is known as the Insurance Premium. You can pay the premium on a monthly or semi-annual basis depending on the insurance policy.
You may be expected to pay the full amount in advance in some cases, before coverage starts.
When you have an insurance policy, the company will charge you money for that coverage. The sum is known as the insurance premium. Based on the insurance policy, you can pay the premium on a monthly or semi-annual basis.
People always ask ” how much is an Insurance Premium?” There are no fixed insurance premium charges.
You might have the same car as your neighbor and end up paying for insurance more (or less)—even with exactly the same coverage. It’s worth shopping around and comparing prices and policies.
You’ll pay more for “better” coverage. For example, a health insurance policy with a $1,000 deductible will be pricier than one with a $5,000 deductible.
Similarly, a car insurance policy with a $0 deductible will be more expensive than a policy with a $500 one, all other factors being the same.
Still, that doesn’t mean you should automatically go for the cheapest policy, just to save money.
Insurance companies consider several factors when calculating insurance premiums:
The type of coverage. In general, you have several options when you buy an insurance policy. The more comprehensive coverage you get, the more expensive it will be.
For example, if you have an auto insurance policy that covers liability only, it will be cheaper than if you have a plan with collision, comprehensive, liability, medical payments, and uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage.
Your age. Insurance companies look at your age because that can predict the likelihood that you’ll need to use the insurance. With health insurance, younger people are less likely to need medical care, so their premiums are generally cheaper.
Premiums increase as people age and have a higher chance of needing more medical services. And teenage drivers are still working on building experience, so they’re more expensive to insure. Likewise, older drivers—who tend to have slower reflexes—will also pay more.
There are several by which we can lower Premiums though; One way is to “bundle” your insurance. For example, if you have your auto, home, and life insurance policies with one company, you’ll probably qualify for a discount.
When you boost your credit score, you may be responsible for lower auto insurance rates. This is because, statistically speaking, people with lower credit scores are more likely to be in an accident.
The whole point here is whether you’re bundling your policies, quitting smoking, or boosting your credit score, shopping around always pays. This way, at a price you can pay, you can find the best insurance policy.
